VHR slams KCR for not wresting Centre’s promises

Hyderabad, Feb.28 (Maxim News): Senior Congress Leader V. Hanumantha Rao on Thursday took potshots at Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao for failing to force the Union government to fulfill the promises made in the AP Reorganization Act. He said the neighboring AP State had achieved the special railway zone by launching an aggressive fight, but the Telangana State did not even achieve Kazipeta railway coach factory to the State.

Referring to comments of TRS MP that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao could solve the Jammu & Kashmir issue, Hanumanth Rao said the people of the State and the country were laughing at the ruling TRS party and its leaders for making such silly remarks. He also demanded that the State government initiate steps for fulfillment of all the promises made during the formation of the Telangana State.

He also demanded that the State Government achieve rail coach factory for Kazipet, Bayyaram steel plant, Tribal University and national project status to the Kaleswaram irrigation project first before talking about Kashmir and other national issues. Commenting on the release of IAF pilot Abhinandan, who was captured by Pakistani armed forces, VH said Prime Minister Narendra Modi should mount pressure on Pakistan for his release. (Maxim News)
