Jubilee Hills By Elections | Hyderabad, Oct 17 (Maxim News): Congress nominee Naveen Yadav filed his nomination papers for the upcoming Jubilee Hills by-election on Friday.

He submitted the documents to Returning Officer Sai Ram at the Sheikhpet Tahsildar’s office.

Naveen Yadav was accompanied by ministers Ponnam Prabhakar and Vivek Venkataswamy, MP Anil Kumar Yadav, former cricketer and Congress leader Azharuddin, his father Chinna Srisailam Yadav, and several senior party leaders.

The by-election was necessitated following the death of sitting MLA Maganti Gopinath on June 8 due to health complications. Acting on the AICC’s directive, the state Congress leadership selected Naveen Yadav to contest for the seat.

Polling for the Jubilee Hills by-election is scheduled for November 11, with counting set to take place on November 14.

At Congress candidate Naveen Yadav’s nomination event for the Jubilee Hills by-election, ministers Ponnam Prabhakar and Vivek Venkataswamy, Hyderabad Mayor Gadwal Vijayalaxmi, Rajya Sabha MP Anil Kumar Yadav, senior Congress leader V. Hanumantha Rao (VH), and other key leaders were present.

While speaking to scribes after nomination Minister Ponnam Prabhakar appealed to the people of Jubilee Hills to elect Congress candidate Naveen Yadav in the November 11 bypoll.

He said Telangana has a democratically elected Congress government focused on citizen-centric governance.

He argued that BRS, which lost the Assembly polls, drew a blank in Parliament and could not even field a candidate in MLC polls, and later also lost the Cantonment election. He urged voters seeking development in Jubilee Hills to strengthen the hand symbol and elect Naveen Yadav.

Ponnam Prabhakar alleged that BRS is trying to distract the public with false issues and asked what, specifically, former municipal minister K.T. Rama Rao achieved for Jubilee Hills over the past 10 years.

He said that in two years many works were taken up—roads, drainage upgrades, and resolving drinking water issues—and several local problems were addressed.

Ponnam added that under the people’s governance model, ration cards were issued to all eligible beneficiaries and fine rice is being distributed.

He highlighted welfare measures like 200 units of free power, subsidised LPG at 500, and free bus travel for women in RTC buses.

He said the government has sanctioned interest-free loans to empower one crore women with the goal of turning them into wealth creators.

Ponnam Prabhakar affirmed that the Chief Minister and the entire Cabinet will make the Jubilee Hills constituency a role model.

He appealed to the voters of Jubilee Hills to ensure a victory for Naveen Yadav. He also questioned what BRS, in power for the last 10 years, and G Kishan Reddy, as the MP from the area, had delivered in terms of development.
