Jubilee Hills Bypoll: BJP And Congress Intensify Campaign
- Congress leaders seek support for Naveen Yadav in Jubilee Hills poll
- Kishan Reddy urges voters to back BJP candidate Deepak Reddy
Congress and BJP leaders launched early morning campaigns in Hyderabad’s Jubilee Hills constituency on Sunday ahead of the upcoming by-election. Both parties focused their outreach on morning walkers at Krishnakanth Park in Yousufguda as part of their voter interaction drive.
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee Chief Mahesh Kumar Goud and Minister Ponnam Prabhakar led the Congress campaign. They appealed to citizens to vote for Congress candidate Naveen Yadav and ensure his victory. The leaders described Naveen Yadav as a local, well-educated man who remains close to the people and consistently works for their welfare.
They said that the Congress government would continue to fulfill its promises and restore financial discipline in Telangana. While accusing the previous Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) government of leaving behind heavy debts, they assured that the Congress administration would balance both debt management and welfare commitments. The leaders asserted that real development in Jubilee Hills could only happen under the Congress party.
Meanwhile, BJP’s Union Minister Kishan Reddy also joined the morning campaign at the same park. He urged people to support BJP candidate Lankala Deepak Reddy, saying that the nation’s progress and corruption-free governance could only be ensured by the BJP. He reminded voters that the party had earlier won eight parliamentary seats and sought similar public support in the upcoming by-election.
Kishan Reddy also criticized Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for his remarks on Operation Sindoor, which was launched in response to the terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. He said that such comments insulted the country and soldiers, demanding that the Chief Minister apologize to the people and armed forces. He further alleged that former cricketer Azharuddin was made a minister purely to influence votes in Jubilee Hills, questioning whether the Congress government had remembered minorities only because of the by-election.
