Jubilee Hills Fake Votes: Election Authority Clarifies

  • No new enrollments at flagged Krishna Nagar addresses
  • Multiple residences, flats explain higher elector counts

Jubilee Hills fake votes | Hyderabad, Oct 13: The Election Authority issued a clarification on media and social media reports that alleged malpractice in voter addition at certain Krishna Nagar addresses in Jubilee Hills.

The note listed four house numbers with high elector counts and explained the status of entries. It said the names at these addresses have been on the final rolls since the 2023 Telangana Assembly elections and the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

The addresses cited were H.No. 8-3-231/B/118 with 50 electors, H.No. 8-3-231/B/119 with 10 electors, H.No. 8-3-231/B/164 with 8 electors, and H.No. 8-3-231/B/160 with 43 electors.

The authority stated that no new enrollments were made at these addresses. Therefore, the allegation that these are newly added voters was termed “completely false.”

The clarification aimed to address claims tied to the ongoing Jubilee Hills by-election climate.

Upon enquiry, officials found that some of the listed house numbers contain multiple residences. For instance, H.No. 8-3-231/B/118 has three floors and a penthouse. Meanwhile, H.No. 8-3-231/B/160 comprises 15 flats.

This structure, they said, explains the higher elector counts at single house numbers. Also, the authority emphasized that the entries reflect dwelling units within a compound rather than a single family household.

In summary, the Election Authority observed that the number of electors at the cited addresses has not changed since 2023. It reiterated that there have been no new enrollments at these locations in the current cycle.

Therefore, the reports suggesting recent mass additions were rejected. Then, the statement called the allegations completely false and closed the matter with specific address-wise details.

The clarification arrives amid heightened scrutiny of electoral rolls during the by-election process. It also underscores the role of building layouts in urban colonies, where multiple flats share an umbrella house number.

Later, any further queries will likely be addressed through standard verification. For now, the authority’s position is categorical: no new additions occurred at the four addresses named.
