Justice Narasimha Reddy Commission To Probe Irregularities In Construction Of Power Plants and PPAs Made

Hyderabad, April 7 (Maxim News):  Justice L. Narasimha Reddy said that an investigation has been started on the irregularities in the thermal plant construction work and the PPAs made by the state Power Distribution Companies with Chhattisgarh.  He said that the inquiry will be conducted outside of politics and the report will be submitted within 100 days.

The state government has set up a commission to investigate the thermal plants built in the past and the PPAs made in Chhattisgarh.  Justice Narasimha Reddy is acting as the chairman of that commission.  

He conducted a two-hour review with Transco, Genco, CMD SAM Rizvi, Transco JMD Srinivasa Rao, and other officials at BRK Bhavan on Sunday.  Later he spoke to the media.  He said that the opinion of some officials who took decisions at the time of signing the agreement with the state power distribution companies for Yadadri Thermal Power Plant, Bhadradri Thermal Power Plant, Chhattisgarh, should be known.  He said that he would write letters to all the officials and public representatives present at that time.  He clarified that there will be a public opinion poll in this regard and notices will also be given to those who need information.  (Maxim News)
