State CDO (Central Design Organization) ex-ENC Narender Reddy said before the commission that he had to approve the project designs only under the pressure of the then Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and former Irrigation Minister Harish Rao. He made it clear that the designs related to the proposed barrages constructed under the Kaleshwaram project were not allowed to be fully studied.

KCR, Harish Rao, former ENCs Hariram, Nalla Venkateswarlu, and others were forced to sign the designs, he said. He seems to have admitted that mistakes were made at all stages of the Kaleswaram project, from the construction of barrages to maintenance and quality checking.

It is reported that he has made it clear that he has nothing to do with the hydrology and investigation aspects of the Kaleshwaram designs. In this context, he told the Chief Engineer that he would not sign the entire checklist. With this, then CM KCR and former Minister Harish Rao called and put pressure on him. You will not have any problem. It seems that Narendra Reddy expressed his grief before the commission that they forced him to sign by saying that we are at the top level.

CDO Narender Reddy Reveals Sensational Things

Also, Kaleswaram project design and drawings certified at the premature stage? When asked by the commission, it seems that Narendra Reddy has said many sensational things. It is reported that he is only responsible for the design matters. but he was pressured to sign the checklist of hydrology and investigation items as well.

There are reports that he has said many things about the excessive interference of L&T and also the involvement of L&T company. He is reported to have said that representatives of that company participated in the design of every component related to the Medigadda barrage. It seems that the L & T organization interfered in every design made by him as the chief engineer. He is reported to have said that parallel designs were given without stopping. But now, after the loss, he seems to have expressed his grief that the company has denied that he has anything to do with it, and has changed its word that the responsibility lies with the CDO.

However, he has alleged that gambling was done in the checklist prepared before finalizing the design of the Medigadda barrage. After a few days, Narender Reddy told the commission that he noticed that some words were deleted from the letter. He said that he had to get the original letter through RTI. The then CM KCR and Minister Harish Rao accused him of doing this to be safe. To this extent, it seems that Narender Reddy has also provided the copy he got through RTI to the commission.
