Peace Rally Hyderabad Sees Massive Turnout

Hyderabad, March 29: A massive peace rally Hyderabad witnessed large participation as citizens, political parties, and civil society groups gathered to protest ongoing global conflicts. The rally moved from Charminar to Exhibition Grounds under the banner of the Committee Against War, reflecting widespread concern over war and its impact.

Leaders and representatives from multiple political parties joined the march. These included members from the Indian National Congress, Telangana Jana Samithi, Communist Party of India, and Communist Party of India Marxist. Religious leaders, Shia and Sunni community representatives, and social organisations also took part. Thousands of citizens, including senior citizens, joined the rally, showing broad public support for peace.

The rally was led by M. Kodandaram and coordinated by Syed Nizamuddin. Several prominent leaders attended the event. These included K. Narayana, B. V. Raghavulu, Mota Rohith DCC Khairtabad, Khaled Saifullah, Sameer Waliullah, Mushtaq Malik, and Amjedullah Khan, along with other senior leaders.

Meanwhile, speakers at the public meeting stressed that war does not benefit humanity. They said it only worsens economic instability both in India and across the world. Therefore, participants appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to reassess India’s international strategy. They urged him to take proactive steps by engaging with the United Nations and other global leaders to push for an immediate end to war.

Later, a resolution was passed unanimously at the Exhibition Grounds meeting. The resolution urged the Chief Minister of Telangana to introduce and pass a similar resolution in the State Assembly. It called for an immediate end to the war and stressed the need for peace and diplomatic efforts.

The rally concluded with a strong call for dialogue and cooperation. Participants reiterated that sustainable progress depends on peace and global harmony. They stressed that only diplomatic solutions can ensure long-term stability and prevent further conflict.
