Kamareddy Master Plan: Farmers Approaches High Court
Hyderabad, Jan 7 (Maxim News): The master plan affairs in Kamareddy district has become a sensation in Telangana. Farmers’ agitation continues for three days in the district. Meanwhile, Kamareddy farmers approached the Telangana High Court against the master plan. A writ petition was filed in the High Court.
In the petition, the farmers stated that their land has been declared a recreation zone without consulting them. Farmers have expressed their concern that the master plan is detrimental to them.
Meanwhile, the High Court is likely to hear the farmer’s petition on January 9. It is known that the farmers had called for a bandh on Friday to cancel the master plan, on the other hand, farmers’ protest continues at the Collectorate today as well. Farmers are expressing concern that the master plan should be changed. Farmers are angry with the behavior of the collector. Despite all this happening, the collector has not met them till now.
Meanwhile, in the wake of the farmer’s protests, the police were heavily deployed at the collectorate and municipal offices. Also, the police have been alerted in the wake of the visits of the opposition leaders. Earlier, the police registered a case against 20 people in the case destruction of a police vehicle at the collectorate, some of them are farmers and BJP leaders. (Maxim News)
