Kane Williamson | Hyderabad, Oct 10: Chennai Super Kings are reportedly considering former New Zealand captain Kane Williamson as their batting coach for the next IPL season. The franchise management is understood to be exploring the idea as part of changes to its support staff.
Cricket circles say Williamson has turned his attention to coaching after leaving international cricket. The CSK management reportedly believes his cricketing mind and calm temperament suit the team’s culture.

Williamson has played IPL cricket for Sunrisers Hyderabad and Gujarat Titans. He has extensive experience on subcontinent pitches and in the T20 format.

Analysts also point to Williamson’s long association with CSK head coach Stephen Fleming. Their shared New Zealand cricket background, they say, strengthens the case for the appointment.
