Kanti Velugu Program From Jan 18 Across The State

Hyderabad, Nov 17: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has decided to conduct the ‘Kanti Velugu Program’ ( Eye screening and testing program) from January 18.

It may be recalled that Kanti Velugu program was started on august 15, 2018 in Malkapur of Medak district and this program continued for five months only, then the government spent Rs. 106 crores for eye screening and testing .

The Chief Minister held a meeting with the Minister of Medical, Health and Family and Finance, T. Harish Rao and other ministers and officials at Pragathi Bhavan (Chief Minister Camp office-cum-residence) today, and the decision has been taken to conduct the eye testing program again. As part of the scheme, the government will distribute medicines along with spectacles to those suffering from eye problems.
