Hyderabad, June 9: The Karnataka Urdu Academy has approved full reimbursement of course fees for eligible students from Karnataka pursuing journalism programmes at Maulana Azad National Urdu University from the 2026-27 academic year onwards.
The benefit will be available to Karnataka students enrolled in B.A. Journalism and Mass Communication (Honours/Research) and M.A. Journalism and Mass Communication courses at MANUU.
According to Prof. Ehtesham Ahmad Khan, the approval was granted through an official order issued by the Karnataka Urdu Academy.
He said the initiative would provide significant financial assistance to eligible students and encourage them to pursue higher education in Journalism and Mass Communication.
Prof. Ehtesham Ahmad Khan expressed gratitude to the Karnataka Urdu Academy for extending support to MANUU students from Karnataka.
He also thanked Dr. Mazharuddin Khan and Azam Shahid for their efforts in facilitating approval of the proposal.
The decision is expected to benefit aspiring journalists from Karnataka seeking admission to journalism programmes at MANUU.
