Kasarla Raju felicitated

Hyderabad, July 8 (Maxim News): Kasarla Raju, who secured All India 86th rank in the Indian Forest Service (IFS) exam in his first attempt, was felicitated by Ministers Indrakaran Reddy, Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Srinivas Goud and Mohmood Ali at Aranya Bhavan here on Friday.

The 23-year-old hails from Suraram village in Jangam district and is currently pursuing MSc Forestry at Forest College and Research Institute (FCRI) at Mulugu in Siddipet district after completing B.Sc forestry.

To mark the occasion, the FCRI held a felicitation programme here and announced an appreciation prize of rupees one lakh to Kasarla Raju for achieving the IFS rank.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister Indrakaran Reddy said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has set up a world class institution like FCRI aimed at providing the quality education in the field of forestry and environment and Raju’s success is the best example how the quality education is being offered to students by the FCRI.

Indrakaran Reddy congratulated Kasarla Raju for achieving the success and wished that several forestry students from Telangana would select for IFS by taking Raju as inspiration.

The IFS ranker said his parents’ encouragement and FCRI’s guidence are the mainly attributed to the success and also thanked the Chief Minister for setting up the best forest and research institution in the State. (Maxim News)
