Hyderabad June 6 (Maxim News) : Telangana Rakshana Sena president, K. She demanded that he hand over the disputed land to the Telangana government if official records prove it is part of the lake area.

Speaking to the media at the TRS office in Jubilee Hills on Friday, Kavitha referred to Pawan Kalyan’s recent statement. He had said that he would surrender the land if authorities proved it was encroached property. Kavitha said irrigation department records already classify the land as shikam land.

She alleged that several irregularities took place during the registration process. According to her, registration documents showed only three acres as shikam land. The remaining seven acres were reportedly listed as cultivable land. However, irrigation records classify the entire 10-acre parcel as shikam land, she claimed.

Kavitha said her party possesses documentary evidence to support the claim. She added that the records would be made public if required.

Kavitha demanded that Pawan Kalyan immediately return the land to the government. She also asked him to remove the fencing, soil filling, and other structures allegedly created on the site.

She said the issue concerns public land and environmental protection. Therefore, it should not become a political distraction.

The controversy gained momentum after Pawan Kalyan stated that he would surrender the property if officials proved it belonged to a lake area or the government.

Reacting to Pawan Kalyan’s recent “Telangana mee ayya jagira?” remark, Kavitha said Telangana belongs to its people. She said the state emerged after decades of struggle and the sacrifices of more than 1,200 martyrs.

“This is truly our jagir because people fought and sacrificed for it,” she said.

Kavitha stated that Telangana is not the property of any individual, family, or political leader. She accused Pawan Kalyan of ignoring the emotions linked to the Telangana movement.

She also alleged that leaders from Andhra Pradesh benefited from Telangana’s resources for years. According to her, Telangana’s culture and identity suffered during that period.

BJP Using Pawan Kalyan for Telangana Politics
Kavitha accused the BJP of using Pawan Kalyan to strengthen its presence in Telangana. She claimed the party lacks strong local leadership and is relying on outside faces to gain political mileage.

While acknowledging that any citizen can contest elections anywhere in India, she said political leaders must respect regional sentiments and local aspirations.

She further alleged that the BJP was attempting to create political distractions instead of addressing key issues affecting Telangana.

Kavitha also reacted to Pawan Kalyan’s remarks about purchasing a vehicle for late revolutionary balladeer Gaddar. She questioned why such assistance was being highlighted publicly.

She said Telangana audiences contribute significantly to the Telugu film industry. She also noted that Telangana folk traditions have influenced cinema for decades.

Kavitha asked whether mainstream actors and producers had done enough to support folk singers, artists, and small filmmakers. She said cultural icons should not become part of political narratives.

Apart from targeting Pawan Kalyan, Kavitha criticized the Congress government. She accused it of selling valuable public lands and weakening Telangana’s future interests.

She claimed the government was disposing of public assets without proper long term planning. She warned that future generations could pay the price for these decisions.

In a political swipe, Kavitha compared the previous and current administrations using the abbreviation “KTR.” She said the earlier KTR stood for KCR, T. Harish Rao, and K.T. Rama Rao. According to her, the present KTR stands for Kondal Reddy, Tirupati Reddy, and Revanth Reddy.

Kavitha alleged that corruption and land deals have increased under the current government. She said her party would expose all alleged irregularities related to government land transactions.

She also accused the Congress government of allowing large scale exploitation of public resources. According to her, the administration has failed to protect government lands and public assets.

The Kodi Cheruvu land row has now become a major political issue in Telangana. The controversy continues to trigger sharp exchanges between Jana Sena leaders and Telangana-based political parties, adding a new dimension to the state’s evolving political landscape. (Maxim News)
