Addressing protesters, Kavitha called for a renewed land struggle until the government fulfils promises made to Telangana activists, especially the allotment of 250 square yards of land.

Kavitha said Telangana was achieved only through sustained struggles and sacrifices by activists. Therefore, she asserted, the government must immediately give the promised land without further delay.

She warned that activists would not accept fresh committees or procedural delays. She said people in villages know who genuinely worked for the Telangana movement, and authorities must include only those names in the official list.

Kavitha alleged that movement opponents later gained power and filed cases against genuine activists.

Kavitha said activists faced humiliation even while visiting the Secretariat. According to her, threats and harassment became common, forcing activists to consider another struggle even after statehood.

Kavitha said the Congress party came to power promising welfare measures for activists. These included pensions, a welfare board, and 250 square yards of land.

However, she alleged that the government failed to issue even a single announcement so far. She said activists were only asked to submit applications, while officials cited pending cases as excuses.

Kavitha questioned whether every activist could have criminal cases and said many suffered losses due to their participation in the movement.

She said Karimnagar has a history of successful struggles. Therefore, she expressed confidence that the current land struggle would also succeed.

Kavitha announced that the agitation would continue not only in Karimnagar but across all districts until land is allotted. She also warned that protests would extend to Hyderabad and Rangareddy districts despite high land values there.

Kavitha said activists fought hunger and hardship to achieve Telangana.

She recalled cultural protests like Bathukamma and Bonalu during the movement. She alleged that families of martyrs received limited support despite many sacrifices.

She said activists now united under a common forum and would continue peaceful protests until the government responds.

Kavitha urged activists to show unity and self respect. She said the demand was limited to promised benefits, including land, pensions, and welfare boards.

Kavitha concluded by calling on activists to occupy lands locally if needed and declared that the agitation would continue until the government comes forward with a solution. (Maxim News
