Kavitha New Party | Hyderabad, April 25 (Maxim News): Telangana politics is set for a major shake up as former MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha on Saturday began the formal launch of her new political party with special rituals at her residence in Banjara Hills.
The move marks Kavitha’s return to frontline politics after resigning from BRS in September 2025.
According to sources, Kavitha performed special prayers with family members at her residence during the morning muhurtham before leaving for the public launch event.
She was joined by her husband Anil Kumar and close supporters during the ceremonies.
Kavitha New Party Launch Gains Attention
A spiritual atmosphere prevailed at the residence ahead of the formal announcement.
After the puja, Kavitha participated in an all faith prayer meeting with party leaders and supporters.
Her attire also drew attention among party workers.
Kavitha wore a saree designed in the colours believed to be chosen for the new party flag, featuring parrot green and dark blue borders.
Supporters described the colours as symbolic of a fresh political vision and a new agenda for Telangana.
Following the rituals, Kavitha left for Munnerabad in Medchal district, where a massive public meeting has been arranged.
At the meeting, she is expected to officially unveil the party name, flag and core policies.
Kavitha has already stated that the new party will serve as a voice for those without representation.
Her entry with an independent political platform has triggered intense discussion in Telangana political circles.
Political observers say the new party could influence both the ruling Congress and opposition BRS in the coming months.
Kavitha has earlier indicated that both major parties would face direct political challenge from her new outfit.
The launch is being watched closely as Telangana prepares for future electoral battles.
Large numbers of supporters are expected to attend the Medchal meeting.
