Hyderabad, April 24: Hyderabad witnessed contrasting weather conditions for the second straight day, with scorching daytime heat followed by evening showers in several parts of the city.
Residents faced intense summer heat through the day, while brief rain in the evening brought temporary relief from humidity and rising temperatures.
On Friday evening, light showers were reported in several localities including Tarnaka, OU Campus, Habsiguda, Ramanthapur, Nacharam, and Mallapur.
Many residents welcomed the sudden weather change, saying even short spells of rain helped reduce discomfort caused by the hot conditions.
Hyderabad Rain Brings Short Relief
Weather experts, however, cautioned that these isolated pre summer showers may only provide short term comfort.
They said such rain activity could increase humidity levels and may lead to sharper heat conditions in the coming days.
According to forecasts, temperatures are expected to remain high across Hyderabad and other parts of Telangana during the final week of April.
Meteorologists also predicted stronger rain activity during the first week of May.
They said eastern Telangana may receive widespread rainfall, especially in districts stretching from Asifabad to Suryapet.
Thunderstorms with gusty winds are also likely in some places during that phase.
Experts added that parts of neighbouring Andhra Pradesh may also receive rain.
Districts from Srikakulam to Guntur are expected to witness showers during the same period.
The mixed weather pattern is being linked to seasonal wind changes and moisture movement from nearby regions.
Citizens have been advised to stay hydrated during daytime heat and remain cautious during evening thunderstorm activity.
Commuters are also advised to check local weather updates before travel, as sudden showers may affect traffic movement in busy city zones.
The city has seen a pattern of hot afternoons and cloudy evenings in recent days, offering some relief but also signalling unstable summer weather ahead.
