She alleged that officials and police removed the Hanuman statue at midnight, even though it had been installed beside the road without obstructing any plots.

The BJP leader also questioned the authorities’ handling of religious structures and referred to reported removals of Sri Ram statues in Shayampet and Hyderabad. She alleged that these incidents reflected discriminatory treatment of Hindu religious practices.

Rao Padma Reddy described her arrest as undemocratic, saying she was only trying to express solidarity with the affected residents. She maintained that arrests and restrictions would not stop her campaign for the protection of religious traditions.
