Hyderabad, Feb.5 (Maxim News): Telangana State BJP flagged off Ambulance vehicles to famous Sammakka Saralamma jathra ( festival) to provide treatment to devotes free of cost where lakhs of people visit the temple.
Speaking on the occasion after flagging of the Ambulances, state BJP president Dr K Laxman said the party has deputed a 25 member medical team to provide treatment to the devotees. The four days long festival will reflect the tribal culture and tradition which is believed that after Kumbha Mela, medaram jatra attracts the largest number of devotees in the country.
Criticizing the TRS government for failure to provide basic facilities to devotees to this Asia’s largest festival, Laxman reminded that chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had promised to provide Khumbha Mela type facilities to people. But he failed to provide basic facilities to devotees. CM KCR is not only deceiving people of the state, he is also deceiving gods and goddesses by making false promises, he accused.
Citing an example, the state BJP chief said Chief Minister had promised to construct and develop the temple including basic facilities, measures to curb pollution, providing sufficient drinking water during the festival. The Chief Minister had promised to develop the temple in a land of 200 acre after formation of new Telangana state. But he did not keep his promise. But in the state budget the government has shown spending of Rs 98 crore for providing facilities. It is astonishing to note that four district collectors have been transferred in a span of 30 days just to handover contracts as per the TRS government whims and fancies, he alleged.
Dr Surender, Dr Subhash, Dr Ramreddy, Dr jaignesh and Dr Suresh Goud are among 25 medical team members deputed to Medaram Jathtra.(Maxim News)
