Hyderabad, Nov.29 (Maxim News): The Telangana unit of Development & Welfare of the Blind today welcomed Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s decision to take back RTC employees into their jobs.
In a pressnote here today, the DWAB’s general secretary, who is also a former RTC employee, P. Chokka Rao, welcomed the government’s decision. He appreciated CM KCR for the gesture. “You have patted on their backs, instead of hitting on their stomach”, he said in a press note issued today. The RTC employees also must utilize this opportunity and join back in their respective duties without further delay and demands. He exhorted RTC employees to work sincerely. Strike should be the last resort, Chokka Rao said, adding people’s convenience should be supreme both to the government and RTC crew.
Chokka Rao also thanked the KCR government and cabinet agreeing to provide Rs 100 crore as immediate financial assistance to tide over the situation. He also appreciated the government agreeing to provide a job to the kin of those employees who, died during the strike period. (Maxim News)
