SEIL Energy Boosts Rural Education in Andhra Pradesh with Donation of 1,000 Bicycles to Schoolchildren

Nellore, July 25, 2025: In a powerful push to bridge the gap between education and accessibility, SEIL Energy India Limited, one of India’s leading independent power producers, has donated 1,000 bicycles to school-going children in Addanki, Bapatla District under its flagship Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. The move aims to improve school attendance and reduce dropout rates among rural students—particularly underprivileged and first-generation learners, including young girls facing mobility challenges.

The distribution ceremony took place at Zilla Parishad High School (ZPHS), Makkenavaripalem, where the Hon’ble Energy Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Shri Gottipati Ravi Kumar Garu, formally handed over the bicycles. Additionally, 452 bicycles were also presented to students at ZPHS Medarametla, extending the impact of the program to more rural pockets of the region.

A Step Toward Equitable Education

“This generous contribution from SEIL Energy supports our vision to distribute 10,000 bicycles to underprivileged school children across Andhra Pradesh,” said Minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar Garu. “Transportation is often a hidden barrier to education in rural areas. With this initiative, we are ensuring that no child is left behind due to lack of access to schools.
