KCR Giving High Priority To Medical And Health: Harish Rao

Hyderabad: Minister for Medical, Health and Family Welfare and Finance, T. Harish Rao said that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao is giving high priority to the medical field.

Releasing the development report of his one year of assuming the portfolio, today, Harish Rao said that Telangana has been recognized by NITI Aayog as the third state providing the best medical services in the country in 2022. he said that Telangana is the third state with the lowest maternal and child mortality rate. As of 2014, the infant mortality rate in the state was 39, at present, it has been reduced to 21.

8 medical colleges were made available in the state last year, he said that 9 more new medical colleges will come up this year. He said that there are 19 MBBS and 7 postgraduate seats per lakh population in the state. Harish Rao said that with the establishment of medical colleges, education and medicine will also be available to the poor. he said that a 2,000-bed super specialty hospital is being built in Warangal at a cost of Rs. 1100 crores.

he said that free dialysis services are being provided to people in government hospitals. he said that they are also providing nutrition kits to poor women. he said that the number of patients coming to government hospitals has increased with the increase in facilities. he said in 2021, 4.21 crore people get Op services in government hospitals, and he said that in 2022, more than 4.50 crore people use OP services. He said that the number of inpatients has also increased to over 30 lakhs. He said that in 2022, 47 lakh people received treatment in Basti Davakhanas. He said that through NCDC screening, they are going to the house and doing the tests.

Harish Rao said that the number of deliveries in government hospitals has increased by 61 percent. high priority is being given to normal delivery, incentives have also been given for normal delivery, and the center has also appreciated in this regard. He said that 2.57 lakh surgeries were done in 2021 and 3.04 lakh surgeries in 2022 in government hospitals. In the year 2022 out of a total of 5.40 lakh deliveries 3.27 lakh deliveries were made in a government hospital, and about 62 percent of deliveries have taken place in government hospitals. 99.9 percent of the deliveries were successfully held in a government hospital, and the number of mothers who die during delivery is only 43 in Telangana.

he said that typhoid scanning has been organized in government hospitals. an infection control team has been set up in every hospital. he said that the number of people coming to government hospitals has increased with the provision of facilities. (Maxim News)
