KCR is a ‘copy master’, says Uttam

Hyderabad, October 26 (Maxim News): Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President Capt. N. Uttam Kumar Reddy has called caretaker Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao a ‘copy master’ and accused him of copying promises being made by the Congress party with the people for next Assembly elections.

He was speaking at Gandhi Bhavan on Friday evening on the occasion of joining of Osmania University TGVP president Srihari Naik and hundreds of other students into the Congress party. Many prominent leaders and their followers from Ramagundem also joined the Congress party today.

Uttam Kumar Reddy said when Congress party promised that, if voted to power in next polls, it would give unemployment allowance of Rs. 3,000 per month to jobless youth, minister K. Tarakarama Rao ridiculed the promise and said the budget of entire South India would not be sufficient to fulfil the promise. KTR even challenged the Congress party to explain how it plans to implement the promise. “When we explained that it would cost only Rs. 300 crore per month for the government to pay unemployment allowance to 10 lakh youth, KCR, a copy master, immediately copied it and just added Rs. 16 to it,” he said.

The TPCC chief said when KCR Government did not give even Rs. 16 to jobless youth during the last four-and-a-half years, how it would give Rs. 3016 if it retains power. He said KCR has lost the trust of people of Telangana, especially the students and youth. He said the list of KCR’s failed and fake promises was long that no one would believe him anymore.

Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the students of Osmania University have played a major role not only in the formation of Telangana State, but also in making KCR the Chief Minister. However, KCR completely neglected the Osmania University and did not resolve the problems being faced by the students and staff. He said the university was deprived of funds and vacancies of Teaching and Non-Teaching staff were not filled. He said KCR had spent hundreds of crores of public money to live a lavish lifestyle by constructing Pragathi Bhavan, buy luxury cars or travel in private jets. However, he did not spend money on Osmania University or clear Fee Reimbursement dues. He said it was the fear of OU students that restrained KCR from delivering a speech during the OU’s Centenary Celebrations. He also blamed KCR for shifting of Science Congress event from OU to other State.

The TPCC Chief said that KCR’s sole focus was on making payments to contractors who could give him kickbacks in various projects. He alleged that KCR family had accumulated huge illegal wealth in the last four-and-a-half years and now, by dissolving Assembly nine months ahead of schedule, they are using the same to lure voters. He alleged that KCR had given Rs. 5 crore each to all the TRS candidates asking them to use it to lure voters and activists of opposition parties.

Uttam Kumar Reddy warned that KCR would make the life of all citizens miserable if he retains power in next elections. Therefore, he urged all students and youth to work hard for the success of Congress party and do not rest even for an hour during the next 45 days. He said defeat of TRS in next elections would be a tribute to the martyrs of Telangana whose families were left helpless by KCR regime. In the first joint address of Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan to Telangana Legislature, TRS Government had admitted that Telangana became a reality due to the sacrifices made by over 1200 people. He said lot of assurances were given to the families of martyrs like Rs. 10 lakh assistance, a government job, a house, etc., However, the promised assistance was partially given to not more than 400 families. Remaining families of martyrs did not get any help and most of them have been declared as ‘untraceable’.

He also described KCR and KTR as the most corrupt politicians in the history of independent India.

The TPCC Chief also defended the formation of Grand Alliance of Congress, TDP, TJS and CPI. Condemning the criticism by TRS leaders on Grand Alliance, he said KCR had no business to comment on the allies of Congress party. He said when KCR was confident of winning 100 seats, then why is he meddling with the affairs of other parties. “Is it the fear of a humiliating defeat which is forcing to KCR, KTR and all other leaders to target the Grand Alliance?” he asked and claimed that KCR has started getting nightmares of losing next elections.

Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the Congress party was all set to win next elections both in Telangana and at the Centre. He said KCR has failed to address the problem of unemployment. However, he said that the Congress party would provide two lakh jobs, including one lakh jobs in public sector, in the first year of formation of government. He said 20,000 teachers would be recruited through a Mega DSC within 100 days of coming to power. He said Congress president Rahul Gandhi would become the next Prime Minister of India and he would sanction funds for the Information Technology Investment Region (ITIR) to create lakhs of jobs. Similarly, Rahul Gandhi would also turn the promises of a Railway Coach Factory at Kazipet, Steel Factory at Bayyaram and other projects into reality.

Former Union Minister Sarve Satyanarayana, TPCC General Secretary Venugopal Rao and other senior leaders were also present. (Maxim News)
