“KCR Is God, But Surrounded by Devils”: K Kavitha’s Letter Sparks Row, Exposes Rifts in BRS

Hyderabad, May 23: In a bold and emotionally charged statement, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLC K Kavitha expressed deep dismay over the leakage of a confidential letter she had written to her father and party president K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), stirring up a political storm within the party and beyond.

Speaking to reporters upon her return from the United States at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport on Friday, Kavitha confirmed the authenticity of the now-public letter and criticized the breach of internal communication. Her remarks brought to light apparent internal unrest within the BRS, a party currently navigating a sensitive post-election environment.

“KCR ji is like a god, but he is surrounded by some devils,” said Kavitha, voicing concern over internal conspiracies allegedly threatening the integrity of the party.

Letter Leak Raises Internal Questions

Kavitha, who has been actively engaging with party workers and citizens across Telangana, said the letter was intended as private feedback to the BRS supremo after her extensive tour of the state.

Two weeks ago, I wrote a personal letter to KCR ji. It reflected the public sentiment I observed during my tour. It was never meant for the public domain,” she stated.

Kavitha questioned how an internal communication could have been leaked, implying sabotage from within and urging both party members and the people of Telangana to reflect on the party’s current trajectory.

Allegations of Internal Sabotage

When asked about the individuals she believed were behind the conspiracy, Kavitha avoided naming anyone directly but made a pointed remark.

If my personal letter could be leaked despite being KCR’s daughter, imagine the fate of others in the party.”

She also warned that the party was at risk of losing credibility if those aiding rival parties from within were not addressed swiftly.

Criticism of Party Strategy and Silence on Key Issues

The leaked letter, reportedly handwritten and in both Telugu and English, highlighted concerns over the party’s recent silver jubilee celebration held in Warangal on April 27. Kavitha noted that KCR’s brief two-minute speech had sparked speculation of a future alliance with the BJP.

In the letter, she wrote:

“As you spoke for just two minutes, people started speculating about a possible BJP alliance. I felt you should have spoken more strongly, especially against the BJP.”

Kavitha also criticized the omission of critical topics such as backward class reservations, Scheduled Caste categorization, the Waqf Amendment Act, and the exclusion of Urdu in KCR’s speech — factors she believes contributed to negative feedback among BRS supporters.

Reasserting Leadership and Vision

Despite the internal turmoil, Kavitha reaffirmed her loyalty to KCR, calling him her leader and the only viable alternative for Telangana’s development.

Congress and BJP have failed the people of Telangana. Only KCR’s leadership can ensure the state’s growth. But small defects must be corrected, and those secretly helping opposition parties must be shown the door,” she said.

Political Ripples Across Telangana

The explosive letter and Kavitha’s fiery statements have sent shockwaves across Telangana’s political landscape. Opposition leaders from both the Congress and BJP have seized the opportunity to target the BRS over its internal divisions, while political analysts speculate on the future direction of the regional powerhouse.

As the BRS navigates this turbulent phase, all eyes are now on KCR’s response to his daughter’s unprecedented public dissent — one that has exposed both the fractures and fervor within the party.
