Hyderabad, Jan.13 (Maxim News): Chief Ministers of two Telugu States K Chandrashekhar Rao and Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy today met at Pragathi Bhavan and discussed about pending State bifurcation issues, current political scenario and CAA protests. Chief Minister KCR and IT Minister KT Rama Rao warmly welcomed Jagan Mohan Reddy and YSRCP MP Vijay Sai Reddy, who took blessings of KCR by touching his feet.
The Chief Ministers started the meeting after lunch and discussed the issues of State bifurcation, current political scenario and protests against Citizens Amendment Act, NRC and NPR across the nation.
In the key meeting, the CMs are expected to sort out issues and find amicable solution to the bifurcation problems. The Centre has also asked the two Telugu States to come to a conclusion on the pending bifurcation issues like division of assets of the RTC, institutions under IX and X schedules and others. They are understood to have taken a call to go together to seek funds from the Centre, which was not extending the needed support to the States for development.
The two CMs have already met thrice so far and this time they will focus on joint issues of the sectors like power, transport, irrigation projects and others. The issues were discussed include power utilities’ staff, transfers, Rs 6,000 crore funds to be shared, assets of transport and that of IX and X schedules as per AP Bifurcation Act.
KCR expressed his readiness to offer support for AP development and keen on working out a strategy of mutual cooperation to address the joint issues and revealed his plans to take up lift irrigation works on his own. (Maxim News)
