Oppn Parties Have No Candidates To Field In Municipal Polls: Palla

Hyderabad, Jan.13 (Maxim News): Telangana State Farmers Coordination Committee chairman Palla Rajeshwar Reddy ridiculed Opposition parties have no candidates to fight municipal polls. Even these two parties have no topics to talk against the State government, he charged.

Addressing the media at Telangana Bhavan here today, Palla said TRS will continue its streak of victory in the municipal polls as there was no competition from the Opposition parties. Rajeshwar Reddy accused the Congress and the BJP of lacking suitable candidates to fight with the TRS party in the polls. “While our party has three to four strong candidates in each ward, the Opposition parties suffer dearth of the candidates”, he ridiculed.

Hitting out at the BJP for claiming that the State was getting huge funds from the Centre, he said the Centre was not returning even one third of the funds getting from Telangana State. While Telangana State offers Rs 65,000 crore a year to the Centre, the latter gives out only Rs 23,000 crore, he clarified. “We spent Rs 5,400 crore on Rythu Bandhu and giving drinking water to the municipalities on the outskirts and there was no need of permission to build houses in 75 sq yards area.

Palla Rajeshwar Reddy said the women who support Chief Minister KCR are using “car” symbol in Sankranti Rangoli program. “We opposed the CAA and offered issue-based support to the Centre”, he pointed out. (Maxim News)
