Election officials are expected to process the pending cases before publishing the final electoral rolls.

“The final size of Telangana’s electorate would depend on the disposal of pending cases, fresh applications received through Form 6 and the eventual publication of the final electoral rolls,” Sudharshan Reddy said.

Together, these categories account for around 91 lakh cases. Another 1.7 crore electors fall outside the verification pool.

Officials placed these voters in the ‘others’ category after separating notice cases from the draft electoral roll. The report also cleared them directly for final publication.

Together, the ‘others’, logical discrepancy and no-mapping categories account for nearly 2.6 crore electors. This represents around 98.7% of the post-ASDD draft electorate.

Telangana had 3.38 crore electors before the SIR exercise. However, 73.3 lakh voters were excluded under the absent, shifted, dead and duplicate (ASDD) categories.

Consequently, the draft electorate fell to 2.65 crore.

Meanwhile, the Election Commission of India (ECI) has opened another opportunity for voters excluded under the ASDD categories. They can seek re-inclusion in the electoral rolls by submitting Form 6 until November 21.

CEO Sudharshan Reddy said affected voters could approach their booth-level officers (BLOs). They can also call the toll-free helpline 1950 for assistance.

Hanumakonda Collector and District Election Officer Chahat Bajpai also urged voters to check the draft rolls. She asked those who could not find their names to submit Form 6 without fear.

Citing an ECI clarification issued on November 3, she said previously enrolled voters could apply for re-enrolment.

She also clarified that filing Form 6 would not automatically trigger legal proceedings. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements and must not have registered elsewhere.

The final electorate will depend on pending case disposal and fresh Form 6 applications. The Election Commission will determine the final voter count after publishing the revised electoral rolls.
