KCR Leaves Erravalli Farmhouse To Attend SIT Inquiry In Phone Tapping Case
Hyderabad, Feb 1 (Maxim News): BRS chief and former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) left his Erravalli farmhouse on Sunday to attend the Special Investigation Team (SIT) inquiry in the phone tapping case.
KCR travelled to his Nandinagar residence in Hyderabad with a heavy security convoy. As soon as news spread, a large number of BRS leaders and KCR supporters gathered at the Erravalli farmhouse.
On this occasion, KCR’s childhood friend and senior party leader Jahangir Mohammed tied the traditional Imam-e-Zamin as a mark of protection.
Later, KCR waved to supporters as his convoy moved towards Hyderabad. Meanwhile, several BRS workers followed the convoy in their vehicles.
According to officials, the SIT will question KCR at his Nandinagar residence at 3 pm today. In view of the inquiry, the police have imposed tight security arrangements around the house.
Furthermore, authorities deployed four-layer security to prevent any untoward incidents. Police also closed all roads leading to KCR’s residence.
At the same time, the BRS gave a call for statewide protests against the inquiry. As a result, police detained party workers at several locations where demonstrations were being held. (Maxim News)
