Hyderabad, Aug.3 (Maxim News): TRS leadership today announced Gutha Sukhender Reddy as party candidate for MLC by-poll under MLA quota. TRS supremo K Chandrashekhar Rao has taken a decision to this effect. KCR announced Gutha’s name for the lone MLC post.
The seat remained vacant as legislative Council had disqualified K Yadava Reddy for defecting to the Congress from the TRS. KCR has instructed MLC S Subhash Reddy to cooperate with Sukhender Reddy while filing nomination for the MLC poll on TRS behalf.
Presently, Gutha is chairman of the State Farmers Coordination Committee and got support of KCR for the poll. The Election Commission announced the schedule for MLC polls to be held in the last week of this month in Telangana State for one MLC post and AP State for three MLC vacant posts. The last date for filing of nominations is August 7. (Maxim News)
