Kcr slams Bhatti on funds diversion jibe
Hyderabad, Oct.1 (Maxim News): Leader of the House and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today slammed Congress Legislature party leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka for his remarks on village panchayats and funds diversion. There is no truth in funds diversion comments made by the congress leader, he said adding that they give funds for village panchayats by stopping salaries of the ministers and MLAs if necessary.
There is no truth in the opposition comments that the government diverted funds meant for the village panchayats.
In the house he accused the Congress government of failing to develop the villages. KCR claimed that the TRS government transformed thousands of tribal hamlets as the village panchayats and gave them funds for development. The leader of the house said that they never diverted funds from the panchayats. He also said that he instructed finance secretary Ramakrishna Rao to give funds to them by stopping the salaries of the MLAs. He said that they are not suppressing the voice of the opposition parties.
Palle pragathi , Pattana Pragathi and Haritha haram are being used for village development, he claimed. We are giving hundreds of crores for development of the villages, the chief minister informed the house. He advised the opposition parties to refrain from making false charges. The congress government dumped the villages which were denied funds and witnessed no development. Though the CLP leader is making charges he fumed. It is not correct to make such false charges, the chief minister referring to Mallu Vikramarka.
The successive governments did not give funds for development, the leader of the house charged. During the 10 years rule of the congress they spent only Rs 4 on a person and the TRS government spent Rs 650 on each person towards village development. The neighbouring states are happy to see rapid development of our villages in terms of facilities and amenities, KCR claimed. (Maxim News)
