Hyderabad, November 25: Syed Khalid Saifullah, a Hyderabad-based technology entrepreneur, social-impact innovator, and senior data expert with the All India Congress Committee, took charge as the new President of the Hyderabad District Congress Committee. About Syed Khalid Saifullah

Khalid has over two decades of experience in information technology, leading multiple organisations as a founder, co-founder, CTO, CEO, and project manager. His academic background includes a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communications from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University and a Bachelor of Law from Osmania University.

Over the years, he worked with global companies such as Google, Dell, Invesco, including multiple on-site assignments in the United States. His professional journey reflects strong credentials in data analytics, software development, project leadership, and the creation of technology-driven public tools.

A key aspect of Khalid’s profile is his long association with the AICC Data Analytics and Technology Cell, where he has handled major organisational technology projects.

He developed the INC crowdfunding portal, membership applications for frontals such as Mahila Congress, Professionals’ Congress and Seva Dal, high-impact survey tools, and a photo-matching AI application for the Bharat Jodo Yatra. He played an important role in Vote Chori identification, oversaw telephonic and on-ground surveys across multiple states, managed the INC Digital Membership App, and contributed to many technology applications used by the party to streamline operations and run large-scale political campaigns.

Several of these initiatives included direct interactions with party leadership, Data Analytics Chairman Praveen Chakravarty, AICC Treasurer Ajay Maken, Departments and frontal heads including Rahul Gandhi.

His work also extends to advanced technology-driven political communication tools, including personalised voter engagement videos, AI avatar-based interviews, and large-scale WhatsApp/SMS outreach systems used for campaign communication.

Beyond organisational technology, Khalid earned nationwide recognition through impactful public-service digital initiatives. He co-founded the Social Data Initiative Forum and developed widely used apps such as Free Supplementary Coaching, Free Oxygen App, and Free Ration App, all of which provided essential support during crises. His projects have been featured by several international and national media outlets including CNN, Al Jazeera, Arab News, Quartz, NDTV, The Nation, Times of India, Indian Express, Business Standard, and others.
As founder of RayLabs Technologies, he designed multiple civic tools such as the Missing Voters App, Muslim Voters App, Defeat NRC App, Unite India App, Muslim Freedom Fighters App, Mera Leader election app, and SPASE educational software. These initiatives have contributed to voter inclusion, communal harmony, historical awareness, and educational empowerment across states. Many of these tools handled lakhs of data points and engaged thousands of volunteers on the ground.

Khalid has also authored several op-eds published in leading platforms such as Times of India, EPW, The Wire, Daily O, Indian Express, and The Quint, focusing on issues of electoral exclusion, Muslim representation, and constitutional rights.

In addition to his technological and social contributions, he has a strong public-speaking background, including speeches on communal harmony, Muslim contributions to the freedom struggle, and socio-political issues, along with recognitions from Toastmasters competitions.
