Kishan Asks Youth To Debate Central Schemes Launched In Last Five-And-A- Half Years

Hyderabad, March.1 (Maxim News): Union Minister of State for Home G Kishan Reddy today asked the youth to debate on the Central government’s policies during the last five and a half years.

Inaugurating the “ISB Policy Conclave – Ideas for India 2020 & Beyond” at Indian School of Business, here today, Kishan Reddy asked the youth to debate and come up with new ideas, which can shape the future of the country and for maintaining better Law and Order, alleviating poverty and providing health for all. “We always continue to believe in democratic dialogue and debates can give us better results. People can debate on strength of the content and not about politics”, he added. Based on the new ideas by the Union Government, NITI Ayog came up in place of Planning Commission, demonetization, GST, Jan Dhan Yojana, Abrogation of Article 370, which changed the face of the nation, the Union minister.

Kishan Reddy said themes like sustainable policy-making for the country’s growth; responsible media, film-making and censorship need to be discussed more. He also stressed the need for new ideas to achieve a five-trillion dollar economy by 2024. It can be possible with this type of conclaves, h said. The social media can’t be a misinformation tool; it is the time now to discuss about how social media is more responsible. He felt that the discussions held here will give better results.

Referring to the recent violent incidents in Delhi, he cautioned against rumor-mongering and stressed the need for responsible use of social media. “CAA is not to take away citizenship of any Indian, but to give citizenship to persecuted religious minorities in Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan,” he reiterated.

The theme for the day-long conclave aims to help view the different aspects of the Indian society and how they can evolve going forward, he said. “As the India we know gears up to become the next superpower, its social fabric is catching up to the changes brought about by the economic development. In this context, all aspects of the society will adapt and evolve as India grows. It will view policy through multiple lenses and address opportunities and challenges that lie in each domain.
