Kishan, Bandi condemn attack on Eatala convoy

Hyderabad, Nov.1 (NSS): Union Minister for Tourism and Culture G. Kishan Reddy and State BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar today condemned the attack on the convoy of the party MLA Eatala Rajender allegedly by ruling TRS party activists in Palivela village of Munugodu Assembly constituency.

Speaking to media persons in Munugodu, Kishan Reddy alleged that the attack was pre-planned on their party MLA. He expressed his anger that CM KCR spoke in a manner that would incite violence in the constituency. He also alleged that the State government was tapping the phones of the BJP leaders and added that surveillance was kept on Etala and his family members by the State government. He also alleged that the ruling party was carrying out the attacks as it was scared that it was going to lose the by-election scheduled to be held on Thursday.

He said stones and sticks were brought in a DCM van by the ruling party leaders to carry out the attack and added that they maintained restraint in order to avoid any kind of clash. Kishan Reddy said the TRS party MLC Palla Rajeswar Reddy obstructed his meeting along with his party workers recently and added that the attack took place by the ruling party leaders as they were aware of the fact that they would not get any votes in Palivela village.

He said the people of the constituency were observing the misuse of power by the TRS party. He mocked that the TRS party had become clueless after its humiliating defeat in Huzurabad Assembly constituency by-election. He alleged that the local police were working in favour of the ruling party.

He made it clear that their party activists would not lose their morale even after several such attacks. He alleged that the police did not check the vehicles of the ruling party leaders during the by-election campaigning and asked them to act in an impartial manner.

Bandi Sanjay said Etala had never spoken in an aggressive manner against his political rivals and added that their party MLA always maintained decorum in his speeches. He warned the ruling party leaders to not test their patience. (NSS)
