Hyderabad, March 23 (Maxim News): Union Minister of State for Home affairs G. Kishan Reddy today held a video conference with the bigwigs of Telugu film industry. He held discussion on the problems faced by the film industry due to the ongoing lockdown.
Film producer D. Suresh Babu, Director Teja, Jemini Kiran, Tripuraneni Varaprasad, Damu Kanuri , Vivek kuchibotla , anil Shukla Abhishek Agarwal, Sharat , Prashant and Ravi took part in the video conference. The film personalities brought the issues of permission to hold the shootings, opening of movie theatres, captive power , piracy , cinema releases on OTT, regional GST and TDS. Responding to the issues, Kishan Reddy assured them That that they would soon get the permission to shoot movies in the state. He also told them that they were planning to open all the theatres in the country on the same day. He also said that they would take steps to stop international cinema piracy .
Reddy said that they would also think about the regional GST to encourage regional Movies. He also assured them that he would talk to the power minister on the issue of allocation of captive power to the film industry. He also assured them that he would talk to the chief ministers of all the states of the country to allow the shootings of Telugu cinemas in their States including Jammu and Kashmir . He invited the prominent persons of the film industry from Telugu, Tamil and Hindi cinema for a meeting with him to discuss on all the issues related to the industry. (Maxim News)
