Kishan Reddy Challenges Revanth Reddy Over Poll Promises And Metro Funding

Hyderabad, June 14: Union Minister G Kishan Reddy criticised the Telangana government and challenged Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy over election promises and funding issues related to Hyderabad Metro Rail.

Addressing a public gathering in Amberpet, Kishan Reddy said the Centre had provided funds for Hyderabad Metro Rail and questioned the state government’s criticism on the issue.

Kishan Reddy targets Congress and BRS

The Union Minister said that if the Centre had not provided financial support to the Metro project, BJP leaders would be prepared to resign. He then questioned whether the state government would take responsibility for unfulfilled election commitments.

Kishan Reddy also responded strongly to political remarks directed at him and stated that no one would politically remove him from public life.

He alleged that the Congress had failed to meet expectations in Telangana and accused the party of betraying the aspirations of the people.

The BJP leader further called on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to clarify accountability regarding political promises and governance.

Referring to the political contest in the state, Kishan Reddy said the BJP would strengthen its position ahead of future elections. He also alleged that the ruling Congress and opposition BRS were politically similar in their functioning.
