Kodandaram Gives Final Touches To Mahakutami Candidates’ List

Hyderabad, Oct.31 (Maxim News): TJS president Prof M Kodandaram, a key player in the Mahakutami of Opposition parties today gave final touches to the list of candidates of their constituents.

After a meeting, Prof Kodandaram said the people were expecting some changes after formation of the Mahakutami. The sole purpose of floating Mahakutami was to defeat “dictatorial” TRS government, he said. Prof. Kodandram said the Congress was playing an elder brother role in the Kutami. In spite of some hiccups in finalizing sharing of seats among the allies, Kodandaram said his party will continue to work with Kutami.

“There have been many reports in the media on these issues. But we are committed to taking on the Telangana Rashtra Samiti together”, he said, adding that the constituents never placed particular demands on the number of seats they wanted to contest.” The three leaders met at the residence of Chada Venkat Reddy this morning to discuss the way forward with the Congress set to begin announcing its candidates in the next couple of days.

Venkat Reddy said the three parties will work towards strengthening the Mahakutami. “We will place our Common Minimum Program before the people and move forward with it as the basis of our agenda,” he said. TTDP chief Ramana said the people have understood why the TRS was not a good choice and were set to defeat the TRS in the elections.

Besides Kodandaram, Telangana TDP president L Ramana and CPI leader Chada Venkat Reddy also attended the meeting. There was talk that TJS chief Kodandram was planning to visit New Delhi to meet Rahul Gandhi in connection with seat sharing issue. (Maxim News)
