Kodangal Dargah Issue: BRS Slams Congress On Demolition Of Hazrat Mahboob Subhani Chilla
Hyderabad, Sept 22 (Maxim News): Strong protests have erupted after the demolition of Hazrat Mahboob Subhani’s Chilla and several graveyards in Kodangal, the home constituency of Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.
Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leaders today addressed a press meet at BRS Bhavan which was addressed by Abdul Muqeet Chanda, Ranga reddy district minorities cell president, Ex MLC and Waqf Board Chairman Mohd Saleem and others , have sharply criticized the Congress government, calling the act deeply hurtful to the religious sentiments of the Muslim community.
BRS leaders pointed out that the very shrine where Revanth Reddy would traditionally offer a ceremonial chadar before launching his election campaigns has now been razed under his administration.
They described the action as contradictory and a grave insult to the spiritual legacy of the revered saint.
Congress accused of targeting minority religious sites: BRS leaders alleged that the Kodangal Dargah demolition is not an isolated incident but part of a disturbing trend under the present Congress government.
They claimed that many incidents against the Muslim community have taken place since the Congress assumed power, including the communal violence in Jainoor, which, according to them, remains unaddressed.
The leaders further criticized Congress’s minority representatives for their silence. “In Parliament, Rahul Gandhi and other Congress leaders vote against the Waqf Act, while in Telangana, their government is bulldozing dargahs, graveyards, and Ashoor Khanas. Why are Congress minority leaders silent on this?” they asked.
BRS leaders termed the demolition a “systematic conspiracy” and demanded the immediate restoration of all religious structures that were brought down in Kodangal. (Maxim News)
