- Chief Minister to take strict action against culprits, says Azmathullah
Kodangal Dargah | Hyderabad, Sept 22: Telangana State Waqf Board Chairman, Syed Azmathullah Hussaini, inspected the damage caused to Hazrat Mahboob Subhani Chilla, graves, and surrounding walls in Kodangal, the native constituency of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, on Monday.
Speaking at the site, Hussaini alleged that miscreants carried out the act on the night of September 20 with the aim of tarnishing the prestige and secular image of the Chief Minister.
“The miscreants have committed this act on the midnight of Sept 20 with the aim to damage the prestige and secular fabrics of the Chief Minister,” he said.
Syed Azmathullah Hussaini was accompanied by Obedulla Kothwal, Chairman of the Telangana State Minorities Finance Corporation (TSMFC), Congress leader Osman Mohd Khan, waqf officials, and AIMIM Tandur President M. A. Hadi during the inspection.
He added that the Chief Minister had expressed his anger over the incident and instructed officials to visit the site and submit a report.

Hussaini confirmed that an inquiry will be conducted to identify the culprits. “We will inform the Chief Minister and also conduct the inquiry,” he said.
He further stated that CM Revanth Reddy will take strict actions against those responsible for damaging the Chilla, graves, and surrounding walls.
Assuring the public about restoration, Hussaini said that he would personally monitor the reconstruction of the damaged walls and structures.
“The Chief Minister is more serious on this issue, as Kodangal is home to him. Any mischief that damages his secular image and prestige will not be tolerated,” he reiterated.
The Kodangal incident has sparked widespread attention, with authorities emphasizing both security and rapid restoration.
Officials are committed to repairing the damaged religious structures while taking legal action against those involved in the vandalism.
