Kodimial Forest Officer Caught Taking Rs 80,000 Bribe

Jagtial, June 4: Officials of the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) caught a Forest Range Officer allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 80,000 at the Forest Range Office in Kodimyala mandal of Jagtial district on Thursday.

According to ACB officials, Forest Range Officer Moinuddin was caught red handed while allegedly receiving the bribe amount. The operation was conducted under the supervision of ACB Karimnagar DSP Vijay Kumar.

Following the trap, ACB officials carried out searches at the office and collected evidence related to the case. The inspection was conducted as part of the ongoing investigation.

Officials said further details regarding the purpose of the alleged bribe and the circumstances surrounding the case would emerge during the investigation.

The latest action comes amid a series of Anti Corruption Bureau operations across Telangana targeting public servants accused of corruption. In recent months, ACB raids in different government departments have reportedly led to the detection of substantial assets, including cash, gold, and property documents.

The ACB has intensified vigilance and enforcement measures against corruption in government offices across the state. Officials said investigations in the Kodimyala bribery case are continuing.
