Komati threatens Stir If Cheryala Not Declared As Revenue Division

Hyderabad, Feb.25 (Maxim News): Senior Congress leader Komatireddy Venkat Reddy today demanded that the State government elevate Cheryala mandal into a revenue division at the earliest. He said Cheryala played a pivotal role in the separate Telangana State agitation.

Addressing mediapersons here, Venkat Reddy said he would stage a dharna demanding that the State government announce Cheryala as a Revenue division. Demanding that the State government declare Cheryala as a revenue ivision within 20 days, the MP warned that they would intensify the agitation. He also said they would lay a siege national highways in the state and would not allow ruling party leaders to not move in their villages and towns.

He also made it clear that he would go on fast-unto-death if warranted. He alleged that the ruling party had ignored all the promises made to the people in the State. He said the Congress would also fight on the issue of fulfillment of the promises made by the ruling party. He alleged that the ruling party had ignored ZPTCs and MPTCs and did not allot any funds for them. He said they would also mount pressure on the government for allotment of funds. He also declared that their goal was to dislodge the TRS from power. (Maxim News)
