Koppula Eshwar says to Improve facilities at VM Home
Hyderabad, March 17 (Maxim News): Welfare Minister Koppula Eshwar today said that VM Home — an Institute for orphans at Saroor Nagar area in the city here. He announced that the institution will be developed with more facilities. It was started in 1903 by Nizam Nawab Mahabub Ali Khan for the orphans.
He visited the school and inaugurated a health camp for the students organized by the health department and Apollo Hospitals. The minister expressed happiness that the students of the institute are getting 100 percent results on par with the students of Gurukul schools.
Eshwar said that the teachers and staff should discharge duties to ensure that the students excel in their studies. The government will improve facilities in the institute, he said, adding that the state government will take up the matter with chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. He said that the staff should work together to see that the students overcome the problem of inferiority complex. There are about 600 orphan students including boys and girls. The VM Home offers them education and shelter, he said. The Government will spend more funds to improve facilities here, the minister said.
Earlier the minister took the metro rail from the Assembly area to reach Saroornagar.
