Hyderabad: BRS working president K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) has assured financial assistance for two-year-old Baby Pooja, who lost her left leg in an accident in Karimnagar.
The child is undergoing treatment at Apollo Hospital in Jubilee Hills. Her family is reportedly struggling to meet the cost of further surgeries and continued medical care.
According to a statement issued by the Bharat Rashtra Samithi on Saturday, October 24, the assurance followed an appeal by Majlis Bachao Tehreek (MBT) spokesperson Amjed Ullah Khan.
Pooja suffered the injury on October 13, when her left leg was completely severed. Doctors initially operated to reattach the leg. However, an infection developed, and a second surgery resulted in amputation.

Amjed Ullah Khan said the child requires further medical procedures and continued treatment. He appealed to KTR to support the family with the mounting medical expenses.
The party statement did not specify the amount of financial assistance promised or when it would be provided.
Amjed Ullah Khan thanked KTR for responding to his appeal. He also recalled an earlier instance in which KTR provided ₹10 lakh for the heart surgery of six-year-old Iqra Fatima from Barkas in Chandrayangutta.
Khan said he hoped the assistance would bring relief to Pooja and her family. He also appealed to philanthropists and well-wishers to help families facing serious medical emergencies.
