- KTR comments spark Telangana Jagruti criticism
- Municipal elections remarks draw sharp political reaction
Hyderabad: Telangana Jagruti president Kalvakuntla Kavitha on Monday targeted former minister KTR over his remarks related to the municipal elections. She spoke to the media at the Telangana Jagruti office and said the KTR comments reflected dictatorship and monarchy trends. Kavitha stated that KTR was saying that whoever stands for BRS in the municipal elections should vote on the car symbol. Therefore, she questioned whether he was asking people to vote for bad candidates.
Kavitha criticised the KTR comments and said voting should be based on quality. She also said people should not vote based on caste or money. Instead, she urged voters to support working and good candidates, regardless of the party they represent. She said voters should choose good candidates from whichever party they contest. Kavitha added that good candidates were contesting on the Forward Black symbol on behalf of Telangana Jagruti.
Phone tapping issue and budget criticism raised by Kavitha
Meanwhile, Kavitha criticised Harish Rao and accused him of colluding with Revanth Reddy and playing tricks. She demanded a fair investigation into the phone tapping issue. She mentioned that KCR was called for an SIT investigation into the phone tapping that took place during the BRS regime. She further stated that if an SIT investigation is conducted in this case, someone will have to go.
Later, Kavitha criticised the Modi government over the central budget. She said the budget did injustice to Telangana. She also questioned why the government was acting negligently despite a series of fire accidents in Hyderabad. In addition, she accused the Congress government of negligence in the attacks by the ganja gang.
Kavitha also raised questions about Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. She asked whether the CM paid Harvard University fees on his own or with government money. She demanded that Revanth Reddy answer the people on this matter. She further questioned how many MoUs the CM signed after going to Davos. She objected to the Congress government signing MoUs with fake companies.
She then suggested that youth should focus on Congress fake MoUs. Kavitha stated that Telangana Jagruti will fight against fake MoUs. The KTR comments, she said, showed a larger political mindset that voters must reject through informed choices in upcoming elections.
