KTR Demands Special Assembly Session On Group-1 Row, Job Scam Allegations

Mounting pressure on the Congress government over the Group-1 fiasco, BRS working president KTR has demanded a special session of the Telangana Assembly to debate the Congress government’s fraudulent promise of providing two lakh jobs within a year. He said the government must treat unemployment as a serious crisis and deliver results through action, not empty rhetoric.

In a statement, Rama Rao came down heavily on the Congress government following severe charges against the offices of the Chief Minister and his Cabinet colleagues, accusing them of selling Group-1 posts for huge amounts. Referring to allegations by several students in the media, he said candidates had claimed that money was openly demanded in return for jobs. He urged the government to respond to the charges immediately.

“The Congress made a mockery of scores of job aspirants who worked hard and spent their time and their parents’ hard-earned money to prepare for these competitive exams,” he said. He stated that the government failed to conduct the Group-1 exam efficiently, leading to uncertainty among job aspirants.

The BRS working president reiterated his demand for a fresh Group-1 examination as per the High Court’s directive, along with the constitution of a judicial commission to probe the alleged irregularities. “The culprits who sold jobs must be identified and punished,” he said, stressing that only a transparent inquiry would restore trust and ensure justice to the unemployed youth.

Accusing the Congress government of incompetence and greed, Rama Rao stated that recruitment into government jobs had been turned into a business. “They sold the jobs in the market and betrayed the unemployed youth,” he remarked. He contrasted it with a transparent recruitment process during the previous BRS regime. He warned that the government’s mishandling of the recruitment process had shattered the faith of unemployed youth in Telangana. “This betrayal will not be forgiven,” he asserted. (Maxim News)
