Hyderabad, April 22: K T Rama Rao said the High Court verdict has exposed alleged Congress claims on the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project.
He described the judgment as a reaffirmation that truth prevails. Moreover, he said the ruling supports the stand taken by the BRS.
KTR On HC Verdict And Kaleshwaram Project
KTR thanked the High Court on behalf of farmers and citizens. He said the verdict benefits those who rely on irrigation from the project.
He alleged that Congress spread misleading claims about Kaleshwaram. However, he said the court ruling addressed those concerns.
He stated that the project includes multiple barrages, reservoirs and pump houses. He added that it expanded irrigation coverage in Telangana.
Referring to Medigadda, he said only limited repairs were required. He claimed the issue was overstated in political debates.
He also criticised both Congress and BJP for their stance on the project. He questioned the response to other irrigation issues.
KTR urged the state government to prioritise repairs and resume water lifting. He also called for focus on governance and public welfare.
He reiterated that Kaleshwaram remains vital for Telangana farmers. He credited K Chandrashekar Rao for developing the project.
