KTR | Hyderabad, Oct. 23: BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) has claimed that BRS chief K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) will soon play a crucial role in national politics. He also criticised the Congress and BJP over their political campaigns and governance.
KTR made these remarks on Friday while addressing Amberpet constituency leaders at Telangana Bhavan in Hyderabad. He alleged that the Congress came to power in Telangana through false promises and misleading campaigning.
The former minister said people were waiting for an opportunity to vote for KCR again. He also claimed that the Congress had failed to win a single seat in Hyderabad in the previous elections.
KTR Criticises Congress Over Telangana Governance
KTR raised concerns about reports of electricity shortages affecting farmers in Telangana. He alleged that weather experts had alerted the state government aboutEl Niño months earlier.
He also rejected allegations surrounding the Medigadda barrage and the Kaleshwaram project. KTR accused the Congress of spreading misleading information about the projects and criticised Rahul Gandhi over his remarks on Kaleshwaram.
The BRS leader further alleged that the Congress and BJP were joining forces to target KCR politically. He criticised the state government’s administration and accused it of allowing mismanagement and corruption.
KTR predicted that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s political position would weaken and claimed that KCR could return as Telangana Chief Minister. These remarks reflect the BRS leader’s political assessment, rather than a confirmed change in government.
He also argued that regional parties outside the Congress and BJP would become increasingly important in national politics. KTR said KCR would have a significant role to play in that political shift.
