BRS Working President and former minister K T Rama Rao unveiled the specially designed shawl at his Nandi Nagar residence. The shawl was woven by noted weaver Nalla Vijay Kumar from Sircilla. It presents visual elements connected to Telangana’s rich history. It also reflects prominent temples, iconic structures, and traditional practices. In addition, the shawl highlights landmark initiatives associated with former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, including Mission Bhagiratha and the Kaleshwaram projects. The unveiling drew attention from party leaders and handloom supporters.

The quote presented during the unveiling stated, “The QR code woven into the shawl symbolizes the transition from traditional ties, ‘pogu bandham’ to digital connections, ‘phone bandham’.” By scanning the QR code, users can access information related to Telangana’s cultural heritage and development milestones.

KTR Praises Weaver Nalla Vijay Kumar’s Craftsmanship

Meanwhile, KTR praised Nalla Vijay Kumar for his creativity and craftsmanship. He commended the weaver for presenting Telangana’s greatness through a handloom product. The appreciation focused on the ability to merge design, storytelling, and technology within a single shawl. The event also underlined the importance of Sircilla weavers in preserving and evolving handloom traditions.
