Vijayawada, Feb.14 (Maxim News): AP Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed his shock over the Kurnool road accident. He announced an ex-gratia of Rs.2 lakh each to family members of those who victims who have lost their lives. He also announced an ex-gratia amount of Rs.1 lakh to all the injured victims.
He asked the officials to extend all kinds of help and cooperation to the victims. The CM hoped that all the injured would recover soon. He also conveyed his deep condolences to the family members of the deceased victims on the occasion. On the other hand, the incahrge minister of Kurnool district Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy also expressed his deep anguish at the road accident. He also termed the incident as unfortunate. He said that the state government would extend all its support to the victims of the road rage.
He said that the stare government had announced an ex-gratia of Rs.2 lakh each to 14 victims, who died in the accident. He said that he would hand over the cheques of the ex-gratia personally to the family members by visiting their houses in Madanapalle on Monday. On the other hand, the district collector Veerapandyan said that the negligence of the driver mini bus was behind the road accident.
He said that the driver dosed off while driving the bus resulting in the deadly accident. He said that they had ordered a detailed inquiry into the issue. (Maxim News)
