Kuwait–Hyderabad IndiGo Flight Diverted to Mumbai After Bomb Threat
Hyderabad/Mumbai: An IndiGo flight operating from Kuwait to Hyderabad was diverted to Mumbai Airport on Sunday after authorities received a bomb threat via email at Hyderabad Airport, officials confirmed.
The flight, operating as IndiGo 6E-1234, was rerouted mid-air as a precautionary measure. Following standard security protocol, Mumbai Air Traffic Control granted priority landing to the aircraft. The plane touched down safely and was immediately moved to an isolation bay for detailed inspection by security teams.
All passengers on board are safe, and no untoward incident has been reported. CISF, Mumbai Police, and bomb detection and disposal squads have begun a thorough security check of the aircraft, baggage, and cargo.
Airport and airline authorities are closely coordinating with law enforcement agencies to verify the authenticity of the threat and ensure the safety of passengers and crew. Further updates from the investigation are awaited.
