Apart from raising slogans against the Congress government, the farmers and villagers attacked the District Collector and other officials. At least 25 persons were arrested in connection with the incident. However, the tribal farmers and their family members have alleged that the police personnel barged into their homes at midnight and assaulted them. Even women were not spared, they said.
