Hyderabad, July 4 (Maxim News): State BJP president K. Laxman on Thursday charged Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao with cheating the Dalits by failing to fulfil his promise of making a Dalit as first Chief Minister of Telangana State.
Addressing a gathering at a protest program held at Ambedkar Bhavan at Lower tank bund, Laxman alleged that the Chief Minister had handed over waste lands to the Dalits in the name of three acres of land. He also said the Chief Minister was diverting all sub-plans funds for other programs. He also alleged that the Chief Minister put aside his promise of constructing 125ft tall Ambedkar statue in Hyderabad.
Laxman performed milk bath to the Ambedkar statue on the occasion. He also planted some saplings on the premises of Ambedkar Bhavan. He also asked the Chief Minister as to why he didn’t complete the installation of Ambekar statue even after three-and-a-half years of his announcement. (Maxim News)
